Setting Up the Connection - QuickBooks Desktop®

Follow these steps to set up an accounting connection for QuickBooks Desktop.

To set up a connection to QuickBooks

  1. Select Configure > Accounting Connections from the menu bar. The Accounting Connections Search Results screen opens.
  2. Select New Accounting Connection from the toolbar. The Untitled - Accounting Connection screen opens.
  3. Enter the name of the connection in the Accounting Connection Name field.
  4. Select QuickBooks Desktop from the Accounting Package droplist.

Enter connection details

  1. Enter the path where the company file is located in the Company File field.
  2. From the Misc G/L Account Mapping section, enter the QuickBooks G/L Account name or number for Undeposited Funds G/L Account, A/R G/L Account, and A/P G/L Account fields.
  3. Select a Customer Export Format option.
  4. Select Yes or No from the Export Negative Supplements droplist.
  5. For Sales Tax, whether QuickBooks will calculate the sales tax amount or CCC ONE will export the sales tax amount to QuickBooks.
  6. Select the Location tab to continue setting up the connection.

    Click Save and Close from the toolbar. Your changes are saved and the Accounting Connection screen closes.

Note: Refer to the Intuit QuickBooks Desktop documentation to look up the QuickBooks Class Name value.
